Many companies have tried to make computers that fit in your pocket... Rolodex, on the ropes in 1997, dared to make a 40-gram palmtop that fit into your wallet. This is the Rolodex REX.

And finally got finished the photos from Wednesday! It took a while, but for sure is the best i can take for now😅. A close up to the C2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas ☄️ 16/10/24 from near Tarragona, Spain. 📷🔭📸🧪🌿 #astrophotography#photography#nightsky#nature

Close up to the comet C2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas the 16/10/24.
The comet's bright nucleus is visible on the right side, glowing intensely white, and it tapers off into a soft, elongated greenish tail stretching diagonally across the image. The tail has a smooth gradient, with subtle shifts in tone, suggesting the presence of different materials like gas and dust being expelled by the comet. The green color could indicate the presence of diatomic carbon (C2) or cyanogen, which are common in cometary comas and tails.

The stars in the background are slightly streaked, which suggests that the camera was tracking the comet rather than the stars, leading to this motion blur effect on the stars. This technique is typical for capturing clear images of a comet that might otherwise move out of frame during a long exposure.

There are also hints of faint details within the tail, possibly showing structures or variations in density, giving the tail a slightly textured look. On the opposite, appears an anti-tail, material of the comet that from our perspective now is visible like a ray pointing the Sun.

Stack of 65photos x 10 seconds
50 darks, 50 biases, 50 flats (super-important this time)

FUTURE COMPUTERS? (Source.)

The cover of Byte, the Small Systems Journal, for April 1981. In it, a Robert Tinney piece depicts a small bezeled computer on a man's steel wristwatch; the tiny QUERTY keyboard and four side function keys fit on the face, while the micro-CRT reads, "INSERT DISK". Two fingers gingerly load the 5 1/4mm diskette into the side of the wristwatch.
