Fascinating. A pressing question though: OpenAI and Google spend a lot of money (on low-wage workers) to train AI not to be so toxic and spew violent, sexist and racist remarks. Who does that work when AI is open source? Is it safe to assume this can be tackled via open source?

Interesting document. I am not sure I like the way the whole thing is being framed. Aren’t people and culture the best moat you can have? Saying that OpenAI (a company that has been shipping product after product) has no moat same as Google (a company that shipped a waitlist) doesn’t make sense.
