I’m under no illusion that Kamala will be any different than other agents of empire, but that consideration pales in comparison to the consequences for the immigrant community, for the LGBTQ community, for Black and Brown folks if Trump wins. No ideological commitment is worth their lives.
Most of our singers have no formal training, but we come together to make a fabulous sound—and a fabulous community. We also need volunteers for support positions if you really don't sing at all (or if you're cis). I'm told we're the only SATB trans chorus in the country. I just think we're neat!

A lot of older recording studios have rooms like this underground, with speakers and microphones installed. It used to be the best way to get reverb—play the track through the speakers and mix in the return from the mics—and a lot of people still prefer the sound, so they still get used!
