It takes more than warm words to overhaul ethics and standards in public life.

And yet the case for creating another body at public expense has to run through competing priorities. So, yes, push now while the latest embarrassment is fresh.

Thank you for this Jonathan. I would probably go even further and create offences for breaches of a statutory ministerial code (probably requiring DPP consent to prosecute).
