It has done so without anything at all resembling intelligence. It's a statistical language generator, intelligence is not even on the menu, no matter how complex the calculations.

It's fascinating doing code completion. It can pick up and do stylistic mimicry statistically, which can at times even be convenient and useful, but with no actual I in AI, can also produce rather wrong code, too. But what do I know, I might just be a living language model hallucinating sentience.

And my point is about politicians, well, yes, that's also true of AI ;).
