Found while cleaning my moms house. My grandmothers aunts owned a corner store in Philly and lived above it. We were given some books when they passed away. My favorite find is a first year latin text with some great advice 😅
"Look at this, Hastings." "Oh I say... well, it is rather flattering." "Flattering? It is grotesque. I am not a hero of the American comic serials. Where is the dignity? The charm? The unequalled humility?"
Yeah, there will be a section explaining the time system. 10s (ish) combat rounds, 10 minute exploration turns, but with duration described in minutes and hours because "turn" is one of the most confusing turns of phrase in the rules and spells are often used outside of turn-based exploration.
Scheduling might be the final boss of RPGs, but compressed yet readable page layout is the final boss of RPG books. 😀
I considered it, but there are 2 issues: 1. Column width. There's not enough room on the line. Splitting the info over multiple lines makes comprehension easier but massively increases page count. 2. Special cases. Saves with penalties, Saves gated by HD, what happens when you Save, etc.
How odd. Thanks for letting me know. It feels peculiar to issue a denial for something like this, but, to be perfectly clear, I am not the person named in those posts. 😕
