And of course neglecting what Labour voters want. There's a limit to brand loyalty. They lost votes to the Greens last time & scored less than Corbyn 2019. When will they wake up to this?
The Starmer government scrapping something absolutely vital for rural communities to save only ÂŁ350m a year. That's pocket change to a government. Labour are more Tory than the Tories at this point.
The savings the government will make compared to the impact on commuters are utterly negligible. This is going to price people out of public transport and put more cars on the road; the exact opposite of what rural towns need
Rural routes at risk as the Chancellor scrambles to find savings
Just to add, I think you do an outstanding job for such a small company. FATE is by far my favourite system & any time someone is wondering what system to use, my question is always "Why not FATE?"
Thanks! đ
In my industry, software developers usually switch jobs in order to get better pay, and there's very little union representation, so the salary you negotiate in the interview is usually what you're stuck with until you go. 18 months to 2 years is the normal tenure where I work.
but weirdly, when negotiating for someone else manage to get just as much pay for their friends as a male negotiator. Lack of union representation in the modern workplace is ofc a big factor: my wife's work for example is a Unite shop where they always get a decent pay rise.
There are various factors. Studies over the last 2 decades alleged that women negotiate less, but that was debunked in 2023. What was found was that women accept pay on average 2.5% lower than men -
Haigh is right: P&O is a "rogue operator". Instead of the "blow to Starmer" headlines, why isn't the topic of discussion "we shouldn't take the money of exploiters human rights abusers"?
Louise Haigh, the transport secretary, said that P&O ÂFerries was a ârogue operatorâ and her comments overshadowed DP Worldâs London Gateway container port plans
Like Samurai Jack alien. I love it.
