I made earl grey pie w/ dark chocolate ganache and some pistachios on top. I even made the crust from scratch and had to use a roll of aluminum foil as a rolling pin, and white rice in foil as a pie weight. but it turned out so damn good. my first dessert!
Did a deep scrub on my cast iron and wanted to do a season in the oven, but I'm out of vegetable oil. only had olive, sesame, (both bad) and butter. so I clarified butter for the first time because it has an even higher smoke point than vegetable oil. I just wanted to brag. I feel very resourceful.
