I don't think it's crazy to suggest that there might be a few high-level modern games have similar strategic depth to chess but this is like kid me insisting that Wrestle War for the mega drive was better than mario cause I didn't have a snes.

I also like to play chess, which I suck at, less than polytopia, which is so easy to dominate once you suss its systems that when i played it for a month when i took shits that i ended up setting limits for myself, like only using the mind control guys, in order to lengthen its lifespan.

I watched I Saw The TV Glow on a plane and lemme tell ya: worst scenario in which to watch it. But it still fucked me up! The last clutch of scenes is wildly haunting and I'll be watching it again For Real I reckon. After that I started a planet of the apes movie.

Yeah I've been having the same thought and it's not great, the feeling that comes with it. Like yeah of course in theory it would become this, but it sucks.

I guess it does have the knock-on effect of winding back the idea that one human life is equal to another. The idea that mass civilian murder, territorial conquest and illegal weapons proscriptions are now publicly as well as secretly false will be of use re: Climate Instability.

I know the possibility of such dissolution is always inherent in any collective political myth but to burn it on the desperate thrashings of a grubby little genocidaire like Netanyahu and his dipshit army seems ill-advised, to me, imo.
