That doesn't always mean you need to regen specifically, but it may come down to it when it's on content.
Well I say it's niche because it's a great idea in lvl 50~60 content where autos hit really hard and tanks don't have much to smooth it out in their end. Savage you usually don't need to when BiS, but ultimates you are fully utilizing healing kits where possible. Or... should be.
Regen uptime is a bit niche depending on content and level, but it can def come into play for ultimates and savage for hard hitting autos. Like M4S autos are 50k hits and you see pures holding onto benison/ intersection charges "for emergencies" only.
I keep running into regen healers trying to solve every damage problem with regen. Regens tick for low potency, over 15s, but divide that number by 3 because they tick every 3s. Ask yourself if that amount of healing will occur before the next raidwide hits. If no, use your higher potency heals.
Also yet another ultimate of DPS dying to damage when they can save themselves with bloodbath, RoE, second wind and what's Mantra anyway? It's only an additional 10%...
TOP: Lead is a streamer who PFs 24/7. Originally says he's progging ahead to hit P5 before he has to leave for a week. Lies and clears, tells us to be P6 ready by the time he comes back (we're on Delta fresh.) I quit before the inevitable disband when he realizes we're not reclear ready for him.
I really don't want to go into FRU knowing that all over again, I have to tell DPS to use personal mits, ask tanks to optimize buddy mits and reps, ask the pure to watch HP bars, deal with people clearing ahead and coming back to troll cause they don't care to try anymore. All in ultimate content.
On top of that, have melees not cycling feints properly, tanks aren't repping everything they can, AST is trying to purely oGCD heal in crafted gear. I quit the group, wrote all the mits THEY are missing in the mit sheet and cleared tier week 2 with some friends in 4 pulls. (No mit sheet btw)
Arcadion: Week ~3 clear group. They know I am busy with my finals week 1 but they start getting on my ass about making a mit sheet. I have less than an hr to study before hoping in to raid w them and they know it. I told them I don't have time and we don't need a mit sheet for savage.
TEA and UcoB, only competent group I ever had. People were there to clear together. Took 8 sessions total. Unfortunately wasn't able to continue on with that group, they were a perm static that does HC hours on new releases. We lost a cob reclear to DDoS right on 2nd exaflares.
