I think it's been a long time since Les had a wash. I suppose his paws may not be as bad as his mane.
I still laugh every time I call a 2019-2020 SlumberTown doodle "vintage". But it technically is. 2019 was a whole different timeline. We've essentially experienced 50 years since then.

I think early on, I wanted to make the hotel feel creepy all the time. But having it mostly feel creepy in the evening and at night gives a better contrast to the narrative. Walt would probably be sleeping in in the early morning too, so he wouldn't be up to his usual pranks.
This is probably the oldest page that got the least amount of edits! I definitely could've messed with it more, but I was pretty happy with it as is. : ) It was a rather quick way to wrap up the prologue, and I still like the simplicity of it.
Fortunately for him, this is just one of many anti-climaxes to come. : P
