Breaking my many month Bluesky silence to say that I would rather apps charge a one time few than make everything a subscription
Today is the 59th anniversary of Bloody Sunday. In this election year, let us who live in the USA remember how important the right to vote is. And let us exercise that right. 1/5
Please donate and help if you can. Every bit helps.
A very good friend's mom is in hospice, so she's with her parents helping them through this. She also was hit by production stopping last year and needs some help. My partner started a GoFundMe for her, if you can please donate and share. Patty is the kindest person. www.gofundme.com/f/f6zn4-help...
I'm Nina, and I'm fundraising for my friend Patty Robinson and her parents, Dalemarie and Steve. … Nina Bargiel needs your support for Help the Robinsons!
We’re trying really hard to push through this last half as soon as possible so that my mom and family can start saving to move across the country 🖤
entirely possible that i'm using the new nyt opinon blog to push back on stuff that annoys me in national media www.nytimes.com/live/2024/01...
By any measure, Trump has been a unique electoral loser for the Republican Party.
i wrote about trump and the 14th amendment and certain pathologies among our legal elite. ballsandstrikes.org/law-politics...
The 14th Amendment contains a prescription for people who engage in political violence. Why are pundits straining to find a workaround?
Of course this isn't to say the Houthis are good guys but... how many civilians do we have to kill before it becomes obvious this won't achieve our strategic goals? How many billions need to be spent that could be used more productively? US diplomacy only ever treats the effect, never the cause.
The stated reason for the Houthis attacking shipping is Gaza, and everyone's complicity in it. That in itself is a problem, but bombing these guys to stop them from attacking shipping (it won't work) is a matter of cutting yourself to stop the bleeding. We're just radicalizing another terror group.
