Thanks for all the well-wishes and good vibes. I’d respond to each one, but I’ll clog up everyone’s feed. Received and so grateful and appreciated. I’m feeling good and on the couch resting, playing Echoes of Wisdom.

Sorry for the Notes app press release. Too many words even with massive shortening of the story. TL;DR? Listen to your body, trust your gut, live your life now. 💙

Screenshot of text:

On Monday, I had an incredibly stressful day at work. After my last, disastrous meeting, I walked away from my desk and within 30 minutes, I had the worst headache of my life. Within 3 hours, after trying to treat with Tylenol, my BP spiked to 160/109. I told Daniel something wasn’t right, he told me to go to the ER. He saved my life.

I had a >10mm aneurysm in my brain that hadn’t bled or ruptured yet, but likely would have within 2 weeks, per my surgeon.

I had endovascular surgery on Wednesday where they went through my groin, up to my brain and installed a WEB device and LVIS stent to block blood flow to the aneurysm. Everything went perfectly and I received incredible care from all of the nurses and doctors who took care of me over those 4 days I spent in the hospital, in the ER and ICU.
Screenshot of text (continued):

I was discharged on Thursday, am at home resting, and honestly, coming to terms with knowing how close I came to not being here. Knowing I have some life changes to make, that I can’t continue as I have been, accepting any and all stress that comes my way.

Life is so fragile. We get caught up in the day-to-day, in a trance, often forgetting to live.

Tell people you love them, these are never wasted words.

Take care of yourself and listen to your body.

Remember to live while you’re still living.

Still holding on to the love from last night’s concert. Out to meet a friend for a walk around the lake. What’s everyone up to today?

My take on toffee is that it can be really challenging in 2 ways: 1) Getting the sugar to the right temp so it’s a buttery caramel flavor without tasting burnt 2) Ensuring the caramel & chocolate adhere together & don’t separate from each other. What? Coffee? Oh, I don’t know her. Carry on.

Newsweek, what happened to you?

Screen shot of iOS News app showing several click-bait headlines from Newsweek that start with, “Woman…”

A kid threw a book at my daughter, hit her right in the head, and my rotted ass had to fight every impulse to not say, “Wow, so words really do hurt, huh?”
