Now I have to decide whether this taints Automattic so much I need to move away from Pocket Casts
But they hate Phyton, not Python😉
(btw, shoutout to the bluesky mods for being pretty quick to take down impersonator accounts!)
I think I can explain part of my job now is to make your videos as outdated as I can some day (show up twice in this time thanks to PEP 735) 😉 Oh, and Dependabot is going to provide feedback on the lock file proposal to make sure it works (and thus hopefully buy-in from them).
It was one of my inspirations for my `struct` idea (as well as Bruce Eckel's talk that same year)
Time to go book time on my calendar to watch!
Ditto, and while I was on the SC I pressed people wanting free-threading to state publicly they would write less C code and more Python if they got threads. So here's to hoping 3.13 is the start of a trend back to more Python code and less escaping out for performance.
I've now pre-registered for the Android release
Here's to hoping the JIT makes things fast enough that people care less about reaching for another language just for performance gains
I forgot that mention **how** lock files could help. One is making sure you're installing what you expect instead of just blindly grabbing the newest release. The other way is through the provenance of a file, e.g., seeing the trusted publisher changed on #PyPIdocs.pypi.org/trusted-publ...)
