Do people complain about Bunnings’s market dominance? I have never seen it online anyway.
Hardware shops are the sole retail experience where I want staff immediately coming to me before I browse and, thanks to Bunnings, it is one of the few chains where it doesn't happen
I do, though not online. I don't think there's much that can be done about it. There have been at least a couple of fairly serious tries at challenging Bunnings and they've crashed and burned. Here in WA there are a few Bunnings stores that still wear the insignia of the pretender (Hardware House).
It's fairly common in more regional areas. But everyone still goes there too.
I have done, in the past, not on social media though. I preferred our local Mitre 10. But Bunnings put them out of business.
Only when they use it to enforce where the onion has to go on the sausage sandwich
“Market share of DIY retailers in Australia in 2022” www.statista.com/statistics/1... Bunnings 68% National Building 12% HBT 8% Mitre 10 6% Total Tools 4% Others 2%
Probably because Bunnings isn’t seen as essential
