I am perfectly fine with this TBH It's clearly a working model that allows studios to have more time and resources to animate really killer scenes. And it's honestly pretty cool meeting other anime fans in public. I have had pretty good success with it!

Same, was glad when anime studios stopped with all the filler arcs waiting for the manga to pull ahead and just went seasonal so the manga could breathe and it didn't kill the anime when it dragged too long. Saying hey the next arc is a set of movies and pay for the next season is great for everyone
