Oh it's dumb & makes little sense but it's fun AF. Way better than Sharknado, which is saying something for this slice of the genre.

Nah, it's pretty fun! It's closer to a Deep Blue Sea than a Sharknado (I double-featured it with Deep Blue Sea and it was a good time)

No, it is the appropriate amount of stupid to be enjoyable. It's not even as stupid as The Meg. It's about on par, stupidity-wise, with Deep Blue Sea

The film only exists because it's top-notch meme-able. And that's ok.
