Hi bsky #furry and audio people. I need some suggestions on new mics and audio interfaces. I’m starting to run into issues with my setup and I think it’s time to start looking. I currently have: Steinberg UR 22 mk2 + Heil PR40 Thanks much for any suggestions! Max Budget is ~$300, cheaper perf’d.

Just to make sure I have a clear picture of what's going on, Socks. I got a few questions! What is the problem as in what happens to the audio? $300 for the whole set up, correct? Hypothetically, if the total was above that 300 limit, how much would you be willing to go over?

I got nudged over here! Hi. Since I don't know your content and current use - mind if I ask what your current creating with the kit? What is the issue you are facing? There's a good bunch of options out there for that but the ur12 is a solid piece of kit so curious what's going bork.

Are the issues hardware or software side?

If you're feeling lazy you can get a Shure MV7. It's basically a baby SM7B and has USB and XLR so you can see if you like the microphone before splurging on something like the 2i2 and a pre-amp later.
