You know you’re a TV junkie if you can figure out all the parody finale frames shown during the credits for The Simpsons season 36 episode 1, “Bart’s Birthday.” This one is especially appropriate since Kelsey Grammar voices Sideshow Bob. #simpsons

Another! That’s quite a selection of TV shows chosen for the supposed AI to create the perfect Simpsons series finale. They even have Babylon 5 in there! #simpsons

Ha! Conan O’Brien reads the poster perfectly except for the last part in Chinese which he says is, “…at Disneyland Shanghai!” Yeah, it wouldn’t take that many characters to say that. #simpsons

Background joke! In the 36th season premiere episode, the poster above Conan O’Brien has Chinese which perfectly translates on Google Translate as, “Please help this fat guy win a gold medal,” which means the show used Google Translate to write the text which may or may not be correct. #simpsons

Poster above Conan O’Brien on The Simpsons season 36 episode 1, “Bart’s Birthday,” reads, “Homer Simpson’s claim-jumping Yukon-rumbling rock-n-roller coaster.” Chinese perfectly translates on Google Translate as, “Please help this fat guy win a gold medal,” which means it may not actually be perfectly written in Chinese. Most real Chinese doesn’t translate so perfectly on Google Translate.

Finally, here is the one douga/cleaned up drawing used to make a production cel. I still can’t post 4 pictures. Believe it or not, the douga, only cost me $19 back in the day. The genga cost a lot more. The note on the back says I bought this from @crzydemona.bsky.social#uncannyexperience

Douga of Storm from X-Men: The Animated Series, used to create a hand painted production cel. Signed by Alison Sealy-Smith, “Storm,” in pencil.

Here are the ‘big’ items I got signed! 3 genga/rough drawings of Storm from the opening sequence of the show. Someone beat me to the actual cels from the opening 😜. #uncannyexperience

Genga of Storm from the opening sequence from X-Men: The Animated Series. Scribbles in the middle is some sort of animation shorthand I think. Upper right in small text is the frame sequence, MLG700026. Signed by Alison Sealy-Smith, “Storm,” in pencil.

Here’s my diploma from the Xavier Institute ‘signed’ (photocopied) by Professor Claremont! Easiest diploma I got ever! #uncannyexperience

Graduation diploma from the Xavier Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The rest of the diploma reads, “Upon recommendation of the faculty and approval of the headmaster and the virtue of the authority vested in them hereby bestows upon________in recognition of the meritorious fulfillment of the prescribed requirements for graduation from this mutant educational institution and is awarded this Diploma with all the rights, honors, and privileges pertaining thereto awarded on: September 29, 2024.” The bottom right says, “Professor Claremont,” with Chris Claremont signing Professor Claremont on the photocopy. The X logo on the bottom left says, “The Uncanny Experience,” circling around the X.

Out of that list, I have never seen Gremlins, ET, Legend, Goonies, and Beetlejuice (even though I did watch the animated series). I only watched Neverending Story, Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth as an adult at least 10+ years later.
