Introducing myself, I’m a recovering CTO, casual cook, and father of the most amazing twin boys. Always a programmer, I do it for fun and stress when no one is paying. I like playing with gravity, seasonally on cross country skis, or mountain bikes. I don’t think people are resources.

I’m interested in incentives that make complex human systems work well and those that don’t. I’ve tried, and mostly failed, to make software work better with people rather than instead of people. I think it might be possible but I’ve grown less convinced. LLMs haven’t yet changed my mind.
