Oh no! 🤣 I guess we should all feel better about imposter syndrome though, anytime you actually read a paper you’re winning at life 🤣
Oh yeah that’s happened too 😂. One citation the other year had my correct surname but attributed my supervisors work to me. That is also in a book 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
They’re writing the in text citation so, like (Hayat Taha, 2019). I know people do use initials but I don’t want to go to a middle initial, I want to use my actual whole name because I like my name. (& it’s my actual name 😂😂) I guess there’s nothing to be done though now?
So, had a few citation notifications which is lovely but this is the 2nd time I’ve been cited as “Hayat Taha” which not sure what to do now the works are out there in the wild. My surname is “Taha” my full name is Sophia Hayat Taha. Anyone know what I can do? #AcademicHelp#AcademicChatter
Wow I have no other words.
Birmingham Law School withdrew permission for an event on the legal situation in 🇵🇸 bc the event flier used watermelon emojis, a symbol of solidarity after Israel banned the 🇵🇸 flag (which uses the same colors). UK unis will take every chance to silence Palestinian students & staff & their allies.
In 2024, we must be bolder than we have ever been before. We must imagine the impossible and force ourselves and each other to step out into what must be done despite our fear. All this must pass. New, kinder, safer worlds are possible.
“We are being killed here, please do something." Text from one of our MSF nurses from Al-Shifa hospital basement this morning. He and his family were sheltering there from the incessant bombing.
At the time of writing, our staff are witnessing people being shot at as they attempt to flee the Al-Shifa hospital. MSF urgently reiterates its calls to stop the attacks against hospitals, for an immediate ceasefire and for the protection of medical facilities, medical staff and patients.
