I find watching my dermestid beetles really relaxing, and I often lose track of the time whenever I check in on them.
Just before I injured my wrist, I came across a wooden trike in hard rubbish and decided to fix it up for my daughter. It was very weather worn and mouldy, and sanding it with one hand (non-dominant) took ages, but I'm now at the final stages of painting and will be ready for her bday this weekend.
It's always disappointing when an artist whose work you enjoy turns out to be problematic. It feels like it's someone new every week lately.
That's really disappointing to hear as I have (soon to be had) some of their books on my own bookshelf.

I'm trying to cut all sea-based foods and farmed meats from my diet, but I'm so bad at it! I'm doing it for ecological reasons so there's no disgust or similar to stop me from eating them and, half the time, I'm halfway through a meal before I realise I'm not supposed to be eating it ๐
