One thing I am stuck on, I guess, is the original idea was truly great platformers. I don't want to disparage OOTW any more ... but you know what I'm getting at Like someone brought up Aladdin with this topic today. Amazing sprite/animation work, but it isn't considered truly great for the genre

Haha, nah, I get you. AW doesn't have top tier platforming, but it's a top tier experience that features platforming, so... Guess it ultimately comes down to what your definition of "a great platformer" is. And me specifying no criteria because I just wanted to hear about some coolass games. :D
