I grew up 7 hours from Winnepeg and we visited sometimes when I was a child. They have a really cool sculpture garden, and my dad always liked the aviation museum. And they have really good restaurants there! Definitely a place worth visiting, and it's a shame it's not as easy as it once was.

Also, I sort of believe that any city of a million people has enough to do to justify a short trip. It's a shame that we've made visiting difficult enough that people need to do these calculations.
