also use a fucking muzzle when in close conditions like public transport. no disrespect to your dog who I'm sure is the sweetest most laid-back dog ever, but it will still lash out when somebody steps on it unintentionally. USE A MUZZLE!
Absolutely. In environments where stressful things are happening, it is a *kindness* to muzzle. It takes the choice to react with their mouths away and lets them rely on their people, which stresses them less. I have an anxious boy and the muzzle is for *his* protection.
THIS. Take the time to get a well-fitted basket muzzle and take the time to get your dog accustomed to it. Properly fitted muzzles are comfortable and safe for your dog and they go miles to reassure people that your dog isn't going to bite them even if spooked. And also no bites, duh.
