huh, never heard of openalex.org. tested it by searching my own name and comparing it to google scholar it missed a bunch of my pubs and threw in a bunch that weren't me. So maybe not best for searching for authors. Is it better when searching subjects?

You can read more about their data here: help.openalex.org/hc/en-us/art... The team that produces it is small but very responsive, if you reach out to them about the accuracy of your data, they are quite likely to work to correct it.

It is. Author data is a particular weakness at the moment. Despite this, Sorbonne University decided last fall to use OpenAlex for tracking their research outputs and dropped their Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports subscriptions.
