Ah… I love Zanac (and Compile, of course!). Never knew it was so key to the development of modern shmup ranking. I will look into that. Thanks!
Yeah, major Zanac fan here too! I even regularly play it on a emulator sped up 1.5x faster xD There's definitely some things I'm glad they didn't bring over, such as shooting a mini-boss briefly stops your firing ability. That's gotta be the strangest concept ever. Guardian Legend does the same
