I finally tucked in to the Steam port of G-Mode DoDonPachi DaiOuJou DX - originally a 2005 mobile port of one of the shmup series' most brutal titles. I love it. Almost feel's like 'DoDonPachi Mini'. Cuter, easier, simpler... still so thrilling. And I've never 1CC'd a DDP game first try before!😀

Shmups are so brilliantly weird. Here Battle Garegga has aggressive and very intricate 'rank' (play well; game gets harder.). So many things shift rank in this one. So to manage rank, avoid shooting anything for stretches... in a game about shooting things. Love you shmups! x
