These are the true colors. The colors are due to pinkish-orange algae and violet-pinkish halophiles that live in the north arm, and and blue-green algae in the south arm. It genuinely feels otherworldly.

From ground level, the colors are hardly noticeable. Here is that same road at sunset from a lower angle. Still pretty, but the colors are mostly lost!
