to be clear this is about some incredibly horrific cw worthy shit but the characters are such THEATRICALLY bad people that i can't help but laugh in disbelief before staring off into the abyss for 2 hours

heathcliff immediately sets his dogs to attack the bland narrator guy that's staying at his house and laughs while he's getting attacked. this happens in chapter two. he makes death threats in every other paragraph. by chapter three he's screaming out the window for his dead beloved to come back
