there's two groups of people who can spell Ignatius: Catholics/ Catholic-adjacent (medievalists, other scholars, etc) and people who really love Confederacy of Dunces. similarly, there's two groups who can't: people who play Dungeons of Drakkenheim, and also everyone else on the planet apparently

i would kind of think you could just sound it out even if it was unfamiliar. it could only really be "ignatius" or "ignayshus" or something like that and the latter is a very unlikely way to spell it
