I stood in line to buy this at firesale prices from Staples back in the day when I used to work there. The UI was beautiful but the software was lacking. I wish HP hadn't given up on the thing so quickly.

LinkedIn's "messenger" is hilarious. It straight up sends you ads dressed up as personal messages. I hate it. I'm surprised Facebook hasn't done this stupid thing. Oh no, I'm not, because Messenger is part of their lock-in strategy to keep people on FB and they want to keep that attractive.

I wake up to hear WordPress is cutting off WPEngine customers. So many thoughts on this. I can see WordPress' trademark concern but they diluted their own mark through their usage permission, so I want to say that ship has sailed. Not to mention their .com / .org confusion [1/x]

The hell is going on in Wordpress land? This feels like Tortious interference.

People accuse us of looking back at the forum era with rose tinted glasses, reminding us there's always been trolls and drama. Well, yes, there was drama. Tons of drama! Importantly, however, that drama *didn't make its way to the national news* and no one cared outside of your 50-1000 users.

I hate LinkedIn. I posted to boost a friend. Then I get an email about post metrics, how performant it was, how much reach it had etc. Made me feel like a machine. Like I should be chasing those numbers. Like I'm selling my words. I hate what it turns people into. The mentality it breeds.

This is unacceptable. They should either ask the customer if they would LIKE a complementary switch to UltraAV or if they would like to uninstall Kaspersky once the program goes out of support. I can't believe there was a time I used to recommend them to customers.

Starting Thursday, Kaspersky deleted its anti-malware software from computers across the United States and replaced it with UltraAV's antivirus solution without warning.

As a computer tech my biggest shame is, when I was a teen, the power supply on one of these (probably) died and I asked my folks to replace the whole thing, which was still new at the time. If I knew then what I knew now I could have probably saved it. :(
