I'm not going to pretend I actually understand the solidarity which exists between people who have seen the Earth from orbit, but like...space is one of the most difficult and hostile environments we've ever been to. I feel like these astronauts likely understand "solidarity" on a level I never will

But I think it's still worth telling those stories, even if you're telling them on your own! In either case, I find it's nice to keep at least SOME characters for one's own personal creative outlets.
I feel that. I think being okay with not finishing a campaign is unfortunately something that just comes with the territory...far more of them just are never going to see a real end than will. Maybe there's a better answer to that problem, but something tells me it's a pretty complicated one if so.
