I feel like whatever lesson they wanted to impart by seeing whether IBM or AMD or whoever went up slightly more, was less interesting and informative than the lesson imparted by one student identifying the weak point of the exercise and targeting it

If I'm teaching economics and a student breaks one of my exercises bad enough that I need to amend it in future years, that student deserves extra credit
