i’m a centrist on this one -most people vote scolding are not good at it and should stop -many are just venting frustration -as someone likely to be targeted someone saying my healthcare isn’t worth voting for is not owed my kindness -the point isn’t to persuade them its to persuade onlookers

This sounds about right, plus: - a nonzero number of people allegedly withholding votes and a lot of people seemingly scolding vote withholding are actually people to the right of all of us who want us yelling at each other.

I do think part of the vote scolding thing gets really messed up on the "You don't even go here!" metric a bunch on Bluesky, though.
