Springtime in the intertidal means finding lots of eggs and juveniles. This little urchin was one of many. 🦑 (Kachemak Bay, Alaska)

1 cm juvenile sea urchin on a thumbnail of a thumb.

I'm frustrated by how often a Photoshop pop-up prompt to use AI interrupts my work. Is there a way to turn this off? #photoshop#AI

I’m savoring the build. And yes, building it is better done by the DM if possible.

Reposting for Marine Life list. Seeking seastar experts. I have brooding leptasterias (Tutka Bay, Alaska) but this yr I may have observed a post-spawning, pre-brooding event. Pics of brooding seastar & rocky substrate w clear sticky covering (spermatozoa) w yellow globules within (oocytes?). Thx 🦑Reposting for Marine Life list. Seeking seastar experts. Clear, shiny, sticky covering on rock with hundreds of tiny (2mm) yellow globules within.

This is the largest California sea cucumber (Apostichopus californicus) I’ve ever found in the intertidal zone of Tutka Bay, Alaska. It was a little over 12 inches long. 🦑

12” sea cucumber in rocky, intertidal area, partially submerged in water. A six inch ruler is beside the left side of the red, bumpy sea cucumber.
