It's probably a good indicator of exactly how bad your transit network is when out of 12 City Council members only 1 actually tries to do A Week Without Driving & finds it almost impossible, & she lives in a neighborhood with multiple transit options!

The Missouri Supreme Court ruled just three years ago that a standing $3 fee, applied to cases with a guilty verdict/plea, was unconstitutional. Sheriffs want this amendment bc they claim their pension fund will be empty in under a decade. Opponents rightly say “nah, fund it another way.”

What's even worse is that towns are criminalizing sleeping in cars. So we provide parking, but it's only to be used for car storage, can't be used to you know stay safe if you don't have a home. We are a sick society
