But I guess it's okay because had I not paid it off early, It would have cost me $409K in 2035 when all said in done. I would have paid more in interest than the initial house cost! 🙄

Housing as a commodity is a ponzi scheme. The ones in earlier profit while the ones in last are caught holding the bag. It's insane that the $150K house I bought in 2005 is worth $350K now. It's not rare, it's made of deteriorating wood, it's outdated.
