Or a former MP wandering into Parliament, and then voting ‘in a personal capacity.’ ‘Oh, I’m terribly sorry…’
Well done!
One method is to look at the Resolution parishes mapped on the Bishop of Ebbsfleet’s website, & also the parishes on the Society of St Wilfred & St Hilda website. Over 500 in total, of which up to 160 are Ebbsfleet. I can email you a copy of the York St John university research on it if you like.
It’s appalling, but the CofE does not publish a central one. I’ll get back to you with the easiest way to collate them.
Sorry for the delay in responding. Am finding out.
Might you ever be persuaded to do a term or two on Diocesan Synod? 🙏🏽
Thanks Helen. It’s helpful for people who are unaware to understand the historical context, & the many progressive changes to practice & doctrine that the Church of England has made over the generations. These have happened in parallel with secular societal progress.
Even more hypocritical was Jane Patterson, as member of the Crown Nominations Commission (CNC), to select a diocesan bishop in 2017. Also then a trustee of Anglican Mission in England (AMiE)- a male headship-espousing breakaway from the CofE. & She didn’t mention it all in her nomination statement.
As ever, no answers to this genuinely puzzling question. But do we really expect those espousing men’s authority over women ever to say ‘Sorry, we now think we were wrong? I don’t think so. They’ll just quietly melt it away. Then move into the next doctrinal issue.
