Lots of debris in the roads and bike lanes here. When I first moved to SD, I was getting massive flats with “regular” (non-racing, everyday training) tires. I ended up using Conti Gators and while they don’t roll easily, they have saved me a lot of time on the side of the road.

I will upgrade to elec shifting. I never felt that rim brakes were not smooth (unless there was something really wrong) but…more power to you.

I won a similar one at a Secret Santa a few years ago. Colleagues have used it a couple times, me once. I forget to keep it charged and sometimes it’s only 50% but I usually remember to top it up before big trips.

I only carry a pump (on my bottle cage). No CO2. Not using tubeless. Yeah, I’m old skool. I loan out my pump to people who used up their CO2 more than I use it myself.
