Tall poppy syndrome is good, I reckon. You don’t see it when someone succeeds with people. You see it when someone is succeeding alone. If you make it to the top, take people with you.
I suppose that's one way to look at it. But what I think I was saying is that this kind of shift requires a massive reset on that scale. It doesn't mean that guarantees a more just economic society. But I can't think of when it happens without it.
I am of the pessimistic view that such a mindset-shift isn't possible without massive and devastating upheaval of society. Such as a war or economic-collapse.
We will continue to suffer under punitive right-wing and lackluster left-wing governments until we can shift Aotearoa's mindset away from individual-responsibility to collective, cooperative success.

Nightmare scenario: massive hack leaks all Facebook user metadata. Vigilante groups start attacking people that Meta had auto-labelled as 'problematic'. Scenario two: Meta shares this data with US law enforcement/customs. People face scrutiny at borders as a result.
Hate to think what Facebook might tag accounts with as a result of this misunderstanding. Ugh.
