I just found out the space art show I used to co-organize during grad school is allowing A👁️ submissions this year. I will no longer be attending, submitting my work, or supporting as long as that’s the case. Extremely disappointed. 🐡🔭

That is beyond disappointing. I really hate how many so-called arts organizations are embracing the slop machine. Yours is not the only post i've seen today about this.

I can’t seem to find where in the materials advertising the event they mention this. I believe you! But I was looking to see how they phrased that specific invitation/solicitation.

I was really looking forward to the Art of Planetary Science. This show encouraged me to get back into painting as a grad student, connected me with other scientist artists, and led me to eventually sell my own work. But now I am deeply disappointed. It’s like a slap in the face. Wow.
