My dad cackled for a good minute when he spotted it on my bookshelf. It's a great title.
History is not, in fact, a story where stuff was bad and then it got good. Empathy with and love for our disabled comrades has always existed. It's overtly fascist to pretend otherwise and has nothing to do with accuracy.
Further - and this is important - fantasy is *not real*. There were no fucking elves on the seventh century so maybe calm yourself down about that. It says a lot about someone when the want to exclude a group from a made up world.
But it helps enormously when my husband makes me feel I am enough.
It's an insult to have to deal with "muggle" nonsense at the same time.
It breaks my heart whenever I become too exhausted and brain-fogged to do research.
Pepper taps for fusses, too. She will head bonk and meow loudly if that doesn't work (I'm sometimes asleep).
