One of the real moments in the defeat of French language purism is that they called it 'Penelopegate' rather than 'l'affair Penelope'.
The one language I know of with its own unique suffix these days is Italian with -(o)poli
Cricheldowngate. Profumogate.
I certainly wouldn’t watch a film called The Thomas Crowngate.
