NaNoWriMo: Stop co-opting advocacy language to justify your partnership with AI. I’m an autistic ‘picture thinker’ who writes well one moment while struggling to form sentences the next. But using Chat-GPT erases our distinct neurodivergent voices by making them indistinguishable.

To any neurodivergent writers who use AI to assist your efforts, that’s fine by me. Just don’t sell yourself short. I’d rather read messy and authentic writing than AI slop that’s usually pretty easy to identify as such. I’d rather see YOUR story than whatever chat-GPT coaxed you into writing.
