It’s ridiculous how much tougher it is to swim 20 lengths in a 50 m pool as opposed to 40 in a 25m.
Can only assume on the Joelinton one that the PGMOL thought we were owed one for the soft Schar sending off last weekend!

In all seriousness, felt like I let myself down with my attempt to tick off a bunch of Wainwright Summits in the Lake District this summer - didn’t manage half of what I had hoped due to lack of fitness. Had to remind myself they aren’t going anywhere, and I can return better prepared next year.
Want to build fitness for mountain walking, so decided to give the stair-stepper a go. I am announcing that as a result, I will spend the next 4 days sleeping downstairs on the sofa.
Really enjoying regularly doing some lengths at the pool - need to make sure I manage to find time to keep going when then new academic year kicks in
