The first time I applied for these badges a) They gave me this, sad, blurry, low-resolution image of a badge (zoom in) b) Didn't give me the "open data" badges even after I sent messages with proof After that, it felt kind of like pointless work for no benefit. It's still open data w/o a badge!

Zoom in on this and see a blurry, low res version of the badge. Looks fine in a thumbnail, but not in the actual article...

I question whether badges actually increase data/experiment/analysis availability. If anything, I've found that badges and TOP level 1 offer journal editors an "easy out" to give the facade of open science without forcing authors to do the real work of making replicability materials available. 2/I question whether badges actually increase data/experiment/analysis availability.
