I settled here because the interface is closest to old-Twitter (I found the Mastodon UI irritating), and because enough of the NZ Twitter folks I followed also came here. I wasn't expecting or looking for a liberal echo chamber, but I'm perfectly fine with the lack of bots and trolls here.
