French elections function dramatically differently from American elections. The polls may be garbage, but at the moment Biden is behind in swing states outside the margin of error. If you want Trump not to win in November, Biden can't be the nominee.
You're talking about the majority of party; it's not just "whiners." Yeah, Trump should drop out too. But we're not talking about what "should" happen on a moral level; we're talking about what PROBABLY WILL happen, with the evidence we have on hand. If Biden is the nominee, he will probably lose.

I mean, I don't disagree, but the fact remains: Biden can't win like this. The polls prove it: he's losing badly in all the swing states he needs to win. He's not going to get any better between now and November. So he's got to step aside.
