Oh, man. The Gestalt Universe should have been a bigger thing in gaming.

The disconnect between how engaging the world of Shadowrun is with the mind-numbing pain one must suffer to use the system is one of the great challenges of the 21st century. How. Just, how. How was *5th Edition* the most sensible implementation of the setting. HOW?

Huh. Just wondered if part of my fondness for Earthdawn is due to it being a kind of fantasy Gamma World... 🤔

(Note, I'm deliberately excluding any setting I created, and any implementation of a setting from a licensed property.)
